It seems like I can't utilize "remove-printer" because "get-printer" doesn't return the disconnected, print-server-deployed printer. Going to read more about "remove-printer" just in case, but I did try using "Remove-Printer -Name PrinterName" and that did not remove the printer from the GUI, but also did not throw any errors.

You can do this with printer queues as @mark_h pointed out above.. However, if your printer is not the default printer you need to load that printer's queue instead. What you need to do instead of calling server.DefaultPrintQueue you would need to load the correct queue by calling GetPrintQueue() then pass it the printer name and an empty string array. This is a toner cartridge with less than 300 pages on it and the cost is about $60 or 20% of the price of a 5 month old printer. Hell it still has like 70% of its stated life left.
