KrisL. Any coupe's accel/braking/handling will be fairly significantly better than the convertible version of the same car. I say significantly because I'm rather sensitive to such things. I'm not talking about buick vs BMW differences, but 330+lbs (e46 coupe & 'vert weight difference) is absolutely noticeable.
